COURSE CONTENT
The ACT is a test that is standard that is widely used across the United States and a few other countries for admissions to undergraduates. A majority of institutions require the ACT as well as an SAT score in order to complete the admissions procedure. Except for a few exceptions, most universities across the United States accept both the ACT as well as the SAT. The purpose for the exam is to gauge the college readiness of students and also to test the performance of all students in one place.
In the outside world, other than the United States, the ACT is an online test. The ACT is comprised of four core examinations: English, Math, Reading and Science. The ACT also offers the option of a Writing (Essay) section.
General Facts About ACT Test
The English test is comprised of five sections with 15 questions for each section. The majority of questions require you to pick the answer the most appropriate in grammar and style, or the answer which is the most in line with your interpretation of the sentence.
ACT Test Duration and Sections
The ACT is comprised of four tests (English, Math, Reading, Science) and an optional writing assessment (essay). The time for the ACT is 2 hours and 55 minutes without the essay or 3 hours and 35 mins for the essay. A brief break is offered following taking the test again. The break will be provided after the fourth test. This will be only for those who are participating in the optional Writing test.

What is the difference between SAT and ACT?
A major difference between the tests is the fact that ACT has a complete section devoted to Science that isn’t present within the SAT. Students with a Science background can demonstrate their abilities related to Science subjects with an ACT.
